Another highlight was taking a day trip out to Teotihuacan which we did the next day. Teotihuacan is a stone age city, mostly remembered as being the Aztec seat of power -although the city itself was not built by the Aztec. Our tour guide was funny, but not super duper informative. After some research of my own, I learned that there isn’t a clear written history of the city. There are different parts of it, dated to different times -indicating that it was built in 2-3 big projects over the course of time. But this was all pre- Aztec. Once the conquistadores showed up (shortly after the Aztec came to power) they destroyed any written history of the city, if there even was a thoroughly detailed history to begin with. Even though the details are somewhat lost to time, it’s absolutely insane to imagine a city of this magnitude before the common era (pre Christ).
Loved your trip info and your pictures, especially the ruins. Would love to see them. Will need to read up on them. What a nice trip!

I don’t know Erin… I don’t think I could get down Escamoles. In fact, I can feel ants on me right now. Love the pics and can’t wait to see more of Alaska!
Miss you!
