I took Ken on a hike, and Erin took her mom to Hood River and explored. The hike I took Ken on was along the Columbia river gorge, where the river cuts through the mountain range. We hiked up from Multnomah falls and to the top of the trail system. Fortunately the weather was clear and we got views of Mt. St. Helens and Adams. The hike was very nice, but there is a large burn scar area where the undergrowth was absolutely out of control- some bushwacking was required. Erin and her Mom went further up the gorge to a town called Hood River to explore, do some window shopping, and enjoy the perfect weather. They also drove the “fruit loop” as they called it. The area is known for a number of different fruits, most notably cherries- which were delicious.
I loved your post, food looked good enough to eat! Am so sorry we couldn’t visit too!
