For our last full day we decided to try our luck at a walk-in campsite… it worked out but, it did eat up some of our day. Once we got settled we enjoyed the beautiful scenery at Manresa State beach. We didn’t quite make it to Santa Cruz as planned, but that was okay with us! The primary theme for this day was relaxation with a lot of book reading. Patrick got into “beach wilderness mode”… (wilderness mode is any outfit where he combines his favorite hat with lots of random gear to fit the weather). His outfit for the beach consisted of a big brimmed hat, cycling sunglasses, a thick pullover, swim trunks, wool socks and water shoes. We always have some good laughs when Patrick is in full wilderness mode and he’s always perfectly dressed for the weather! The day started out cloudy but surprised us with some sun! We got to enjoy a nice fire, try some new camp food, and a beautiful sunset. I’ve said it before, but there is something about our tent that feels like home and it was great to spend another night camping.
