On Saturday we woke up early and headed to a nearby lake. We had chartered a float plane to take us over the inlet and to an area directly next to Lake Clark national park. The flight was supposed to include a tour by air of Lake Clark national park, but the fog and smoke was completely obscuring the views. We landed and promptly boarded a small boat with our guide Morgan. The only other person in our party was Jimmy, a regular who frequently books these fishing trips. Our guide Morgan was an absolutely awesome guide and everything about the trip was amazing. Plus, Jimmy kept pulling out a flask of fireball whiskey and giving us shots. What a legend!
Glad you are enjoying all the he beauty Alaska has to offer. We were in Eagle River for 4 years. Both our boys were born there. We loved it! Enjoy!
