Comparing Portable Coffee Brew Kits
Welcome back everyone! Today is a big topic for those of you who enjoy coffee. As it turns out, Washington state is pretty serious about their coffee- and I need to step up my brewing game. I have been using a french press for many years, but recently purchased an aeropress to get a more versatile option allowing me to make coffee in a manner that matches the high quality beans I can get basically anywhere here in Washington.
So lets get to it! In the video I compare and review the options for portable coffee brewing kits. At the end of the day, I have to say that for the absolute beginner who primarily drinks American style drip coffee I still recommend a french press. It easy, quick to clean, and offers a much better brew than a standard Mr. Coffee machine. French presses come in all sizes, and the aeropress only comes in one size- which is not ideal when you have more than one guest coming over.
That being said, for the person who is trying to step up their game and venture into espresso style coffee and versatile brewing rigs, I’m recommending the aeropress. A quick Google search will reveal countless videos detailing how to use the aeropress to create different styles of coffee. So far, I’ve barely mastered the basic American style instructions provided in the box. I’m looking forward to experimenting and finding the best way to make espresso bar quality brews in my kitchen.
