We have highlighted a lot of hikes and adventures, but of course most of our time is spent working. The hospital Erin works at is small. The major issues get flown down to Washington state. Due to the rural aspect of the community, some patients stay in the hospital longer on a swing bed program designed to help the transition from hospital to skilled nursing facility easier to manage for rural health systems. Erin tells me that a lot of her patients are Alaskan residents that hurt themselves/get sick, but also there are a lot of visitors from the lower 48 who end up in the hospital too. I work at a local private outpatient clinic and see a lot of people with shoulder and/or back pain and dysfunction.
Loved the big mushroom! I could cut steaks out of that. Our tomatoes and butternut squash are almost that big.
